NEW DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPEUTICS BUILDING
"A. GEMELLI " UNIVERSITY GENERAL HOSPITAL - ROME
The project is part of the vast and ambitious program concerning the reorganization and functional distribution of the entire University General Hospital "A. Gemelli".
The main objective was to increase the overall efficiency of the health complex, improving both the general and professional quality of the services provided. Therefore confirming its national and international role as a centre of excellence and reference. The new diagnostics and therapeutics building was designed and developed in this perspective, aimed to optimize the employment of human and technological resources converged in a sole building with the following features:
- Transfusion Centre
- Main Sterilization Plant
- 2°level Casualty Department (Emergency and Accident Department)
- Observation unit : 22 beds Intensive Care unit: 18 beds
- 22 Operating Theatres plus 3 emergency rooms positioned on two levels
- 2 floors of general and research laboratories and relative space for general services and support
The new volume built gave us the opportunity to reorganize the hospital's internal flows, through functional rationalization and diversification with the purpose to improve both health and general services inside the complex. |
