RESIDENTIAL HEALTH CARE CENTRE
A. GEMELLI GENERAL HOSPITAL
The Residential Health Center was developed in an isolated and silent area characterized by an outstanding landscape; it is dedicated to various categories of patients which also include children. Because of the peculiarity of the location certain fundamental decisions were taken during planning which distinguish the building. The purpose was to reduce remarkably the visual impact which distinguishes the building. From a functional point of view this structure is similar to the most advanced international health centers where the management of social health care, hospitalization and treatment is perfectly integrated with supported activities. From this point of view the interiors reflect a "hotel type" of environment but in the meantime allow the possibility to carry out health care services. The architectural structure was conceived to allow the maximum level of ventilation and natural light and the visual contact with the surrounding landscape. Utmost comfort has been assured for the patients evidenced by the furniture and finishings of the environment and above all of the hospital rooms and all the areas dedicated to recreation.
