FUJAIRAH BEACH RESORT - UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
The tender was relevant to a design competition for a resort by the sea.
It was decided to build the complex on the sea and not on the mainland so as to safeguard the narrow strip of available seashore. The main hall was obtained by digging a small mount at the extremity of the planning area, from such hall two extended buildings jut out, in these buildings the guest rooms face the sea while the connecting features unfold into the remaining area between the two buildings. This third volume is divided by the other two in thin strips of water and hosts leisure and commercial areas, whereas the roof is an area equipped with a swimming pool and open air restaurants. |
