REDEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF THE "SAN PIO" CONVENT - GENAZZANO-ROME
The project aims to adapt and transform an ex 17th century convent, with a rectangular layout and central cloister, into a hotel. The planning keystone is turning the cloister into a covered central space to be used for various events and activities. The main aim was to create a transparent covering which would maintain that "empty" concept
This structure appears to be distorted with a regular lamellar wood mesh, with a layer of glass overtop which can be obscured to guarantee the correct atmosphere and comfort in relation to the external climatic conditions. |
