PRESIDENTIAL PALACE - DUBAI - UAE
The proposal was for a building which would be reminiscent of the Emirate's traditional architecture but at the same time giving it a touch of novelty. We used a rectangular base, a large central atrium with vast lounges, reception areas along the side and private officers and rooms on the first floor.
The innovation was to exasperate some elements: the series of ogival archs proposed tridimensionally gives rise to the external arcade which surrounds the entire building. |
